Kasapreko PLC, producers of Awake Purified Drinking Water, has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to life-saving heart care by donating ₵300,000 to the National Cardiothoracic Centre under its One for Life CSR initiative. This donation represents the combined 2nd and 3rd quarter contributions for 2025 and marks a doubling of Kasapreko’s quarterly support from ₵75,000 to ₵150,000.
The One for Life fund has supported 143 patients, mostly children, in receiving vital heart surgeries they could not afford. Dr. Kow Entsua, Director of the Centre, received the ₵300,000 donation and praised Kasapreko for its consistent, growing commitment. He also noted that Kasapreko donated a Philips PageWriter TC35 ECG Machine, the center’s only unit. With its 10-inch color touchscreen, advanced 12-lead ECG acquisition, and intuitive 1-2-3 workflow, the TC35 has significantly improved the center’s diagnostic capabilities.
Linda Aidoo, Marketing Manager, stated, “Ghanaians have supported us wholeheartedly since the launch of One for Life. Today, we stand with all Ghanaians as we present this cheque. We’re proud to pioneer impactful CSR within the purified water industry and encouraged to see other brands joining in.” She added, “Every bottle of Awake Water purchased—whether for everyday use or for social and family events—contributes directly to the One for Life fund. At the end of every quarter, these funds are donated to the Centre to save lives.”
