The National Cardiothoracic Centre at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital marked 25 years of World Heart Day under the theme “Don’t Miss a Beat.” The event highlighted both the progress in heart care and the continued support needed to save lives.
Representing Kasapreko PLC, Marketing Manager Linda Aidoo presented a donation of ₵150,000 as its 4th Quarter contribution to the center, bringing its total to over GHS 3 million since the launch of the campaign. Currently, life-saving interventions record more than 143 lives saved, reaffirming Awake Purified Drinking Water’s commitment to heart health through the One4Life Campaign.
“Our promise to the Centre is about more than financial support. It reflects the brand’s deep belief that every heartbeat matters and that caring for people is at the heart of everything we do,” Linda shared.

Closing the event, Dr. Kow Entsua-Mensah, Director of the Centre, introduced the “25 Heart Challenge,” a call for all Ghanaians to take simple daily steps toward healthier living, whether through 25 minutes of exercise, 25 squats, or even 25 steps.
The event served as a powerful reminder that while significant strides have been made in cardiac care, ongoing public awareness and sustained support, like that from Awake Purified Drinking Water, are vital to fostering a healthier society.
